Skyline view of Buffalo, NY (large)

Buffalo is a melting pot of cultures, and its food definitely reflects that fact, consisting of everything from Jewish to Polish to African cuisine. Try visiting an art festival while you're in town to really get a glimpse into life around Buffalo, like the Allentown Art Festival in mid-June. Buffalo is also home to the second-largest free outdoor Shakespeare festival in the US, Shakespeare in Delaware Park. Last call is at 4 am in Buffalo (versus 2 am as in most everywhere else in the US), and nightlife is very relevant and fun.
